MILAN – Inter Milan defender Diego Godin has accepted that his team did not win the 2019-2020 Europa League. He also assured his fans that they would not shrink after losing to Sevilla in the final.
At the height of the party, which took place on Saturday, August 22, 2020, in the early morning of the WIB in the Cologne stadium, Inter lost painfully to Sevilla. The 90-minute game ended 3-2 for Sevilla.
Godin, who scored a goal on the field, tried to ease himself. Although the goal he contributed didn’t help Inter bring the Europa League trophy to Milan, he hopes the fans can accept and continue to provide support too.
“We want to win and give this victory to our fans, but that is not possible. I hope you are proud of the work and effort we put in yesterday and throughout the season, ”Godin said on his Instagram account.
“It’s just a little pause on the way. “This is the path this team has taken to develop and achieve the goals the club deserves in this story,” he added.

“Now we’ll rest, recharge the batteries and come back hungry and enthusiastic,” he continued.
This season too, Inter has improved quite well than before. Inter not only win second place in the European league, but also occupy second place in the 2019-2020 Italian league and differ from Juventus by only one point.
