Bayern wins 1-0 against PSG and wins the sixth Champions League trophy: Okezone Ball

LISBON – Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) against Bayern Munich in the 2019-2020 Champions League final. The big game will take place on Monday (24.8.2020) in the morning of the WIB in the Da Luz Stadium in Lisbon, Portugal.

Control of the ball was shared equally between the two teams at the start of the first half, but PSG struggled to play comfortably due to immense pressure from Bayern. Bayern slowly dominated possession more. The dominance led to a 1-0 win for Bayern.

The course of the game

First round

PSG struggled with enormous pressure from Bayern at the beginning of the first half. Bayern made it uncomfortable for PSG to flow the ball forward. Nevertheless, it was difficult for Bayern to dismantle PSG’s defense.

Even Hansi Flick’s troops would have almost missed it if Neymar Jr.’s golden opportunity had not been thwarted by Manuel Neuer in the 18th minute. Bayern also stood up to threaten PSG goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Robert Lewandowski had a golden chance in the 22nd minute. The Polish player made a circular motion before firing a shot that unfortunately still hit the PSG goal post.

The match got tougher after that. Lewandowski almost opened Bavaria’s water tap in the 32nd minute if his header had not been thwarted by Navas in front of the PSG goal. PSG could not escape the pressure of Bayern until the 35th minute.

Bayern blocked the PSG defense before the end of the first half. Nevertheless, Die Roten – Bayern’s nickname – could not score against PSG. The first half ended with a score on the glasses.

Second round

PSG remained under Bayern pressure at the beginning of the second half. Neymar and his friends struggled to develop the game. The midfield is mainly controlled by Bayern, so the game always takes place in the PSG defense area.

Bayern’s attempt to open the taps in the game paid off in the 59th minute. Former PSG man Kingsley Coman hit the head for Bayern after a pass from Joshua Kimmich.

Bayern’s first goal disrupted the coordination of the PSG players and made it easier for Bayern to penetrate their defense. Bayern had several chances after Coman’s goal, but nothing that could change their place on the scoreboard.

PSG tried to equalize but Bayern did not reduce the intensity of their pressure. Les Parisiens – nicknamed PSG – finally fell on their knees in front of Bayern, who won the game with a narrow 1-0. Bayern also won their sixth Champions League trophy to match Liverpool’s successes last season.
